Section 1
Overview & Acceptance
WallPrint operates the online store at wallprintstore.com and all related features, tools, products and services (the "Services"). The terms "we", "us" and "our" refer to WallPrint. Our store is hosted and powered by Shopify Inc.
These Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy and Returns & Refund Policy, form the entire agreement between you and WallPrint when you use our Services or make a purchase. By accessing or using the Services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.
These Terms are governed by South African law and are designed to comply with the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA), the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 (ECTA), and the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).
Section 2
Access & Account
By using our Services, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, and are legally capable of entering into a binding agreement. If you are acting on behalf of a minor, you accept full responsibility for their use of the Services.
To make purchases or access certain features, you may be asked to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must not share, transfer, or allow others to access your account. Provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering and keep it up to date.
We may suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably believe your credentials have been compromised, or if you have breached these Terms.
Section 3
Our Products
We have made every reasonable effort to accurately represent our products and services. However, colours and product appearance may differ from how they appear on your screen due to your device type, display settings, screen calibration, and ambient lighting. This applies particularly to wallpaper and printed products, where screen-to-print colour variation is an inherent characteristic of digital printing. Please see our Returns & Refund Policy for full details on colour accuracy.
We reserve the right to limit quantities, discontinue products, or restrict orders to any person, region, or jurisdiction at our discretion. Product descriptions and availability are subject to change without notice.
If colour accuracy is important to you before committing to a full custom order, we recommend requesting a printed sample swatch. Contact us via our contact page to arrange one.
Section 4
Custom Print Orders
Many of our wallpaper, mural, and canvas products are custom-printed to your specific dimensions and design. By placing a custom print order, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
- Custom print orders are made to order and cannot be returned, cancelled, or exchanged once production has commenced, except where a manufacturing defect or error on our part has occurred.
- You are responsible for providing accurate wall measurements. WallPrint is not liable for shortfalls or overages resulting from measurement errors.
- Where you supply your own image or design file, you confirm that you own the rights to that content or have obtained the necessary permissions to use it for print. WallPrint takes no responsibility for copyright infringement arising from customer-supplied content.
- WallPrint is not responsible for print quality issues arising from low-resolution or unsuitable customer-supplied files. We will advise you if we believe a file may not print satisfactorily before commencing production.
- You must review and approve all design proofs before production begins. Once approved, WallPrint is not liable for errors visible in the approved proof.
Under Section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA), consumers generally have a 7-day cooling-off period for electronic transactions. However, this right does not apply to goods that are made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalised. Custom-printed wallpaper and murals fall within this exception. By placing a custom order, you waive your right of withdrawal under ECTA Section 44 in respect of that product.
Section 5
Orders & Contract Formation
When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase. No binding contract exists until WallPrint confirms acceptance of your order. We reserve the right to accept, decline, or cancel any order at our discretion — for example, due to pricing errors, product unavailability, or suspected fraudulent activity.
Your order is accepted when we send you an order confirmation. We must receive successful payment before your order is accepted and processing begins.
In accordance with ECTA, all orders placed through our online store are concluded electronically and are legally binding once confirmed. You will receive a written record of your order confirmation by email.
If we decline or cancel your order after payment has been received, we will notify you and process a full refund promptly. You may not cancel or modify an accepted custom print order once production has begun.
You warrant that your purchases are for personal, household, or commercial use (including interior design or renovation projects) and not for the purpose of unauthorised commercial resale.
Section 6
Prices & Payment
All prices are displayed in South African Rand (ZAR) unless otherwise stated. Prices are subject to change without notice. The price charged will be the price in effect at the time your order is placed and confirmed in your order confirmation.
Unless expressly stated, displayed prices do not include delivery fees, VAT (where applicable), customs duties, or import charges. These will be shown at checkout before you complete your purchase.
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete payment information. You warrant that you are authorised to use the payment method provided and that all charges will be honoured. In accordance with Section 43(5) of ECTA, we utilise a payment system that is sufficiently secure with reference to accepted technological standards. Payment processing is handled by Shopify's secure payment infrastructure.
We may offer promotional pricing or discounts from time to time. Promotions are subject to their own terms and conditions and may be withdrawn without notice.
Sale items
Items purchased on sale or at a promotional price are not eligible for return or exchange unless they arrive damaged or faulty, and are subject to our Returns & Refund Policy.
Gift cards
Gift cards issued by WallPrint are valid for a minimum of 3 years from the date of issue, in accordance with Section 63 of the Consumer Protection Act. We will always honour the full face value of any gift card. Gift cards are non-refundable for cash and may not be exchanged for cash.
In the event of a pricing error, we reserve the right to cancel the affected order and notify you. You will not be charged, or if payment has already been taken, a full refund will be issued. We are under no obligation to fulfil an order placed at an incorrect price.
Section 7
Shipping & Delivery
Delivery times provided are estimates only and are not guaranteed. WallPrint is not liable for delays caused by courier services, customs processing, public holidays, or events outside our reasonable control.
Risk of loss and responsibility for goods passes to you once the product has been handed to the carrier and a tracking number has been issued. We recommend keeping your tracking information and inspecting your order promptly on delivery.
For international orders, you are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, or border-related fees applicable in your country. These are not included in our prices and are not refundable by WallPrint.
Under Section 46 of ECTA, we are required to execute your order within 30 days of receipt, unless we have agreed otherwise with you. For standard products this is our aim. For custom-printed wallpaper and murals, production times vary based on complexity and wall dimensions. By placing a custom print order, you agree that production may extend beyond 30 days where required and we will keep you informed of your order's progress. If we are unable to fulfil your order within a reasonable timeframe, we will notify you and offer a full refund if you choose not to wait.
If your order is lost or significantly delayed in transit, please contact us via our contact page and we will do our best to assist in resolving the matter with the carrier.
Section 8
Returns, Refunds & Warranties
All returns, refunds, and exchanges are handled in accordance with our Returns & Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
Under Section 44 of ECTA, consumers have a general right to cancel any electronic transaction for goods or services within 7 days of receiving the goods or concluding the agreement, without penalty. This right applies to eligible non-custom products. Custom-printed wallpaper and murals are exempt from this right as explained in Section 4 of these Terms. Where you exercise this ECTA right, we will process a full refund, though you are responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods to us.
Under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, goods come with an implied warranty of quality. If a product is defective, unsafe, or materially fails to meet the description or standards reasonably expected, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund within 6 months of delivery. This statutory warranty applies independently of our own returns policy and cannot be excluded.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes your rights under the CPA, ECTA, or any other applicable consumer protection legislation.
Section 9
Intellectual Property
All content on our Services — including text, images, graphics, designs, product photography, logos, and the overall look and feel of the store — is owned by WallPrint or its licensors and is protected by South African and international intellectual property laws, including the Copyright Act 98 of 1978 and the Trade Marks Act 194 of 1993.
You may use our Services for personal, non-commercial browsing and shopping purposes only. You may not reproduce, copy, distribute, modify, publicly display, or commercially exploit any content from our Services without our prior written consent.
WallPrint's name, logo, and branding are trademarks of WallPrint. Shopify's name, logo, and marks are trademarks of Shopify Inc. You may not use any of these without prior written permission from the respective owner.
Customer-supplied content
If you upload images or design files for a custom order, you confirm that you own the copyright in that content or hold a valid licence to use it for print production. You grant WallPrint a limited, non-exclusive licence to use your uploaded content solely for the purpose of producing your order. WallPrint will not use your uploaded content for any other purpose.
You indemnify WallPrint against any claims, losses, or liability arising from the use of customer-supplied content that infringes the intellectual property rights of any third party.
Section 10
Feedback & Reviews
If you submit feedback, reviews, suggestions, or other content through our Services, you grant WallPrint a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, reproduce, modify, and display that content for the purposes of operating, improving, and promoting our Services.
You represent that you own or have the right to submit all content you provide, and that it is accurate and does not infringe any third-party rights. You are solely responsible for your submissions. WallPrint may, but is not obliged to, remove content that is unlawful, offensive, defamatory, or otherwise in breach of these Terms.
Section 11
Third-Party Tools & Links
Our Services may include tools or functionality provided by third parties (such as payment processors, live chat, or social media widgets). Access to these tools is provided on an "as is" basis and we make no warranties about their performance or availability. Your use of third-party tools is at your own risk and subject to their own terms and conditions.
Our store may also contain links to external websites. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of those sites. Visiting a third-party site from a link on our store is at your own discretion and risk.
Section 12
Relationship with Shopify
WallPrint is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide the Services to you. However, any sales and purchases you make in our store are made directly with WallPrint. By using the Services, you acknowledge and agree that Shopify is not responsible for any aspect of any sales between you and WallPrint, including any injury, damage, or loss resulting from purchased products and services. You hereby expressly release Shopify and its affiliates from all claims, damages, and liabilities arising from or related to your purchases and transactions with WallPrint.
Section 13
Privacy Policy
All personal information we collect through the Services is subject to our Privacy Policy. Certain information may also be subject to Shopify's Privacy Policy, available at shopify.com/legal/privacy. By using our Services, you confirm that you have read and understood these policies.
Section 14
Prohibited Uses
You may only use our Services for lawful purposes. You may not use the Services to:
- Engage in any unlawful, fraudulent, or malicious activity.
- Violate any applicable South African or international laws or regulations.
- Infringe on the intellectual property rights of WallPrint or any third party.
- Harass, defame, intimidate, or harm any person.
- Transmit false, misleading, or deceptive information.
- Send unsolicited advertising, spam, or promotional communications.
- Impersonate any person or entity.
- Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or any harmful code.
- Collect or harvest personal information about other users.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of our Services or infrastructure.
- Use automated tools, scrapers, bots, or AI agents to access or extract data from the Services without our written consent.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, without notice, if we determine that you have violated these Terms.
Section 15
Automated Agents
This section applies if you use, enable, or deploy any automated software or agent ("Agent") — meaning any tool that takes autonomous or semi-autonomous action on your behalf — to access or interact with our Services.
No Agent may access our Services unless it: (i) identifies itself in all requests as an Agent, including its name in the request user agent string; (ii) does not conceal or mimic human behaviour; (iii) does not bypass CAPTCHAs or anti-bot measures; and (iv) does not circumvent any restrictions we have put in place.
We may restrict or block Agent access by technical means at any time. Any use of an Agent that violates these requirements is a breach of these Terms.
Section 16
Errors & Inaccuracies
Our store may occasionally contain typographical errors, pricing inaccuracies, or other omissions in product descriptions, availability, or promotional information. We reserve the right to correct any such errors and to cancel orders affected by material inaccuracies, even after an order has been submitted. If this affects your order, we will contact you promptly and issue a full refund if payment has already been taken.
Section 17
Disclaimer of Warranties
Except as expressly stated in these Terms or required by applicable law (including the Consumer Protection Act), our Services and all products are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, WallPrint makes no representations or warranties — whether express or implied — regarding merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure at all times. Information presented through the Services is for general information purposes and we disclaim liability for any reliance placed on it.
Nothing in this disclaimer limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, ECTA, or any other applicable legislation. Statutory warranties — including the implied warranty of quality under the CPA — cannot be excluded.
Section 18
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, WallPrint, its directors, employees, affiliates, agents, contractors, service providers, and licensors — as well as Shopify and its affiliates — shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages of any kind, including lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or replacement costs, arising from your use of the Services or any products obtained through the Services, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Where liability cannot be excluded by law — including under the Consumer Protection Act — our liability is limited to the lesser of the value of the transaction giving rise to the claim or the cost of repair or replacement of the relevant goods.
Section 19
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless WallPrint, Shopify, and our respective affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, and service providers from any claims, losses, damages, and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (1) your breach of these Terms; (2) your violation of any applicable law or the rights of a third party; or (3) your use of the Services.
We will notify you promptly of any indemnifiable claim. We may, at our discretion, assume control of the defence of any such claim, but will not settle any claim requiring action from you without your consent (not to be unreasonably withheld).
Section 20
Dispute Resolution
If you have a complaint about our products or services, please contact us first via our contact page. We aim to resolve all complaints promptly and fairly.
If we are unable to resolve your complaint directly, South African consumers may refer their dispute to the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud (CGSO), the accredited dispute resolution body for the consumer goods and services industry, at cgso.org.za or by calling 0860 000 272.
Nothing in this section limits your right to approach a court of competent jurisdiction.
Section 21
Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Both parties consent to the jurisdiction of the courts of the Western Cape, South Africa, for the resolution of any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Services.
For international customers, nothing in this clause limits any rights you have under the consumer protection laws of your own country.
Section 22
General Provisions
Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, that provision will be severed and the remaining Terms will continue in full force and effect.
Waiver. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
Entire agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Returns & Refund Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and WallPrint and supersede all prior agreements or understandings.
Assignment. You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.
Headings. Section headings are for convenience only and do not affect the interpretation of these Terms.
Plain language. In accordance with the Consumer Protection Act, these Terms are written in plain language. If any part is unclear, please contact us and we will be happy to explain.
Section 23
ECTA Section 43 — Mandatory Supplier Disclosures
In compliance with Section 43(1) of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 (ECTA), WallPrint is required to make the following information available to consumers on its website:
- Full name and legal status: WallPrint, a business operating in the Republic of South Africa.
- Physical and postal address, telephone number, and email: Available via our contact page. Our physical address (for the purpose of receiving legal service of documents) is available on request.
- Website address: wallprintstore.com
- Description of goods and services: Custom-printed wallpaper, murals, canvas prints, and wall décor products as described throughout our store.
- Full price of goods and services: Displayed on each product page and confirmed at checkout, including any applicable delivery fees and taxes.
- Terms of the transaction: As set out in these Terms of Service and our Returns & Refund Policy.
- Cancellation rights: As described in Section 8 of these Terms and our Returns & Refund Policy.
- Privacy and security policy: Available at our Privacy Policy page.
If we have failed to provide you with any required information under Section 43, you may be entitled to cancel your transaction within 14 days of receiving your goods or services. If you believe any required disclosure is missing, please contact us via our contact page immediately and we will remedy it.

Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update or change these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date on this page and, where required by law, by providing direct notice. Your continued use of the Services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically.
